ACB Kota nabs IRS officer, seizes Rs 16 Lakh bribe concealed in sweet boxes

The ACB team had received information that this recovery was being made from the opium farmers for issuing opium leases.
Anti-Corruption Bureau, Kota seized a total of Rs 16.32 lakh including Rs 15 lakh in sweet boxes and Rs 1,32,410 in a purse from the car of Dr. Shashank Yadav, General Manager and IRS officer of Opium Factory in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning.
Yadav also has an additional charge of an opium factory at Neemuuch Madhya Pradesh. He was going to Ghazipur from Neemuch after recovering from the farmers, but on getting the information, the team of ACB, Kota confiscated the amount from his vehicle.
The ACB team had received information that this recovery was being made from the opium farmers for issuing opium leases.
Following the Anti-Corruption Bureau action, police said Yadav did not give details about the source of the total cash amounted to Rs 16,32,410 seized from his SUV registered in UP at Kota Hanging Bridge near toll plaza on Kota-Udaipur highway. Could.
