Ambulance carrying woman's dead body washed away in Rajasthan, her child dies while husband goes missing

Police Officer Datarsingh said on Tuesday that Ramjilal (45) was taking the body of his wife Geeta Devi (42) by ambulance from Jaipur to his village in Tonk.

An ambulance carrying the body of a woman was washed away in strong waves of water in the Barauni police station area of ​​Tonk district of Rajasthan early on Tuesday. A minor in the ambulance died in the accident, while his father is missing and search is on for him. At the same time, the driver of the ambulance and another person were rescued by the SDRF. Police Officer Datarsingh said on Tuesday that Ramjilal (45) was taking the body of his wife Geeta Devi (42) by ambulance from Jaipur to his village in Tonk.

He told that Ramjilal was accompanied by his son Ankit (12) and another relative in the ambulance. Singh said that the ambulance got washed away in the strong current of water near Sirsi village and Ankit died due to drowning in the water filled in it, while Ramjilal is missing and a search is on for him. When the ambulance was swept away in the water, its driver and Ramjilal`s relative broke the glass and climbed onto the roof of the vehicle and both of them were rescued by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team, he said.
