One arrested for disturbing peace in Ajmer village

"We arrested him for disturbing peace in the region and also registered a case against him for hurting religious sentiments," police said.They said the situation was under control and people have been asked not to react to such incidents. Police are keeping watch and claimed that the markets opened after the accused was arrested. Ajmer: A message posted on a social networking site created a storm in Karkheri village in Roopangarh on Saturday morning and resulted in an impromptu bandh in the area.Following the alert, police arrested Kamaruddin (37), son of a Bhavru resident of Nagaur, who allegedly hurt religious sentiments with his post. He is living in a rented accommodation in the village.The Karkheri village panchayat also passed a resolution demanding that Kamaruddin leave the village immediately.Sources said that Kamaruddin had posted a message on a networking site hurting the sentiments of the people of that region. "There was anger among Hindu organizations who demanded shops in Karkheri, Roopangarh and nearby towns to close down," said a source.When the police came to know about the incident, they started an investigation and found that Kamaruddin, who is working as a labourer, had made that comment from his mobile.
