Plea to quash order on net ban in Udaipur

Students enrolled for online courses and those requiring to pay online fees for various courses too grudged the delay. People complained that big corporates, educational institutions n private organisations having lease lines remain unaffected from the order but small scale traders, shop owners who made their living of petty services like recharges and bill payment are suffering. The common mass is largely affected by the disruption of internet services, many offices have remained closed since two days, online coaching classes, payment of utility bills, individual money transfers, ticket booking etc are some major sectors largely affected by the order.Meanwhile, the police has so far arrested only three persons in connection with the objectionable posts that have been the cause of inconvenience to the mass. Udaipur: For the second consecutive day on Thursday, data services remained interrupted in Udaipur following district collector's order to restrict internet services.Aggrieved by the DM's order, one of the residents Chhatrapati Sarupriya filed a petition before the Sessions and district court pleading to quash the collector's order in public interest.Advocate Sunderlal Mandawat, who represented the case said that the Dm has issued the orders under section 144 of the crpc to suspend the data services anticipating the voilation of law and order in the city whereas no such situation has arouse causing such concern.The petitioner said that he being into an online business, requires the data services throughout the clock however the administration without any formal announcement or issuing any public notice called off the data services Tuesday midnight onwards.
