Kota: A body of a 55-year-old farmer with fatal head injuries was found in his agricultural farm on Tuesday morning in Savar village under Talera police station, Bundi. The farmer is likely to have been killed by some unidentified assailant late on Monday night as the axe, used to hit the famer, was recovered from the spot. Police have lodged a case of murder against unidentified accused and efforts are underway to ascertain his identity and to nab him.The body Dhanraj Meena, a resident of Savar village was found in the field on Tuesday morning, said Pawan Meena, SHO Talera police station. The body bore fatal head injuries with some sharp weapon, the SHO said, adding a blood-stained axe, that was perhaps used to attack the farmer was also found lying near the body.The deceased farmer had left home on Monday night to be on his field, the SHO said. The body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem by medical board on Tuesday morning, the SHO said. Forensic Science Laboratory team also visited the spot and collected samples, he added.Police have lodged a case of murder under section 302 of IPC against unidentified assailant and efforts are underway to ascertain his identity and to nab him soon, SHO Pawan Meena said.The deceased famer reportedly had no rivalry with anyone in the village, the SHO said, adding that investigation is underway to find out the motive behind the murder.
