791 youth get jobs under ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’

Our CorrespondentPhillaur, September 14As many as 791 unemployed youth were selected for jobs during a job fair, held under the state government’s ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar’ scheme, here today. The fair was inaugurated by Lok Sabha MP Chaudhary Santokh Singh and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulwant Singh at Government Senior Secondary School (Boys). During the fair, organised by the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise, 1,318 candidates applied for jobs. The district administration was already on the task of roping in key industrial units and leading entrepreneurs to provide jobs to the youth. The ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ scheme of the Captain Amarinder-led state government was all set to transform the destiny of the youth in the state by providing job opportunities to them.

Our Correspondent Phillaur, September 14 As many as 791 unemployed youth were selected for jobs during a job fair, held under the state government’s ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar’ scheme, here today. The fair was inaugurated by Lok Sabha MP Chaudhary Santokh Singh and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulwant Singh at Government Senior Secondary School (Boys). During the fair, organised by the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise, 1,318 candidates applied for jobs. Of these, 791 applicants were offered jobs whereas 119 more youngsters were shortlisted by 30 companies, including Rank Step Education, India Bulls, Axis Securities, M-Swipe, Carnival Cinemas, SBI, Airtel, Vodaphone, Amazon, Bajaj Finserv, Phone Pay, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Cremica Food Industry and Guru Nanak Auto. Complimenting the candidates, the Lok Sabha MP and the Additional Deputy Commissioner said it was a historic day for them as they were going to start a new innings in youngsters’ lives. They said with such endeavours, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s dream to provide job to every youth in the state would be fulfilled soon.| The MP and the ADC said more such fairs would be organised in the future to offer employment opportunities to the youth.
