IN BRIEFHoshiarpur: Chairman of Sonalika Group LD Mittal is at the 91st spot among the top 100 richest Indians on the list of Forbes Magazine — 2019 with a net worth of 1.6 billion dollars (INR 11,415 crore). The 86-year-old industrialist is among the top 100 richest Indians on the list of Forbes Magazine for the past five years. Now, Sonalika Tractors is the third largest company in India and the sixth largest company in the world under the leadership of AS Mittal, vice-chairman, Sonalika Group, and Deepak Mittal, managing director, Sonalika Group. Besides the tractor business, the Mittal family is contributing a lot for the welfare of society by running various CSR programmes. Now, Sonalika Tractors is the third largest company in India and the sixth largest company in the world under the leadership of AS Mittal, vice-chairman, Sonalika Group, and Deepak Mittal, managing director, Sonalika Group. The company is exporting its tractors manufactured in the state to over 80 countries. Besides the tractor business, the Mittal family is contributing a lot for the welfare of society by running various CSR programmes. TNS Power, water supply hit in city Phagwara: Residents of several parts of the city, including Hargobind Nagar, were greatly inconvenienced due to the non-supply of water and electricity for around six hours here on Thursday. When contacted, Phagwara XEN Kulwinder Singh said employees of the Power Department were busy repairing power lines to provide an uninterrupted power supply during the upcoming Phagwara visit of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, who will hold a road show here on Friday.
