Students get tips on current trends in industries

Tribune News ServiceJalandhar, October 20Imparting skill-oriented knowledge to students of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (KMV), Jalandhar, experts from various industries apprised students of current demands of the job sectors. The institute has been running skill development courses under the aegis of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra (DDUKK) to update students about the current trends in the industries. Under six skill development courses such as animation, retail management, management and secretarial practices, photography and journalism, nutrition, exercise and health, textile design and apparel technology, experts told students about various fields involved in the industrial training and way to attain employment after completing these courses. Students had an interface with prominent professionals from various fields. Pooja Arora from sector skill council, with a special reference to skill development, said skill development was the future of the nation and it was important that the young generation should be skilled, so that they could become self-reliant and bag the best employment opportunities.
