Residents fume over poor sanitation on Chuggiti road
- | Thursday | 14th November, 2019
Jalandhar, November 13The Chuggiti road leading to GNDU Regional Campus and other residential colonies has been turned into a dump yard. The residents of the area say that it’s over two months now that the garbage from the Chuggiti chowk has not been lifted. They say the Municipal Corporation (MC) has failed to maintain proper sanitation in the area and is lending deaf ears to their pleas. Daljit Singh, a regular commuter of this road and resident of Sangam Vihar, said for the past many months no regular lifting of the garbage was conducted by the sanitation workers. If residents are facing sanitary problems, we will get it checked and ensure the cleaning of the area.”
