SNIPPETSPhagwara: Different Hindu and Muslim organisations have joined hands to appeal to the people to participate in the half-day “Phagwara bandh” on Friday from 10 am to 1 pm in protest against the recent brutal killings of Shri Amarnath pilgrims. OCSchool buses challanedRegional Transport Officer (RTO) Balbir Singh inspected and challaned several school buses in Sahni, Khalian, Narur, Panchhat and surrounding villages on Friday. Many vehicles were impounded by the RTO on the occasion. Meanwhile, the police has appealed to the people to maintain peace and communal harmony .
