SCHOOL NOTES Students of Ivy World School got enrolled for the NCC by the authorities of 2 Punjab Battalion, Jalandhar, under the guidance of the Commanding Officer-Col Harinder Singh on Thursday. The enrolment team from the 2, Punjab Battalion, was consisted of Nb-Sub Pawanjeet Singh and Havaldar Hardeep Singh. Students were apprised of the benefits of the NCC and were motivated to join the same. Principal S Chauhan was the guiding force and instrumental in the introduction of the NCC. He thanked the Commanding Officer for encouraging students. Career counselling session Eklavya School, Jalandhar, organised a career counselling session for students of senior school on Thursday. The session was conducted by Sagri Handa, school alumnus. She covered several important points that students must kept in mind, while choosing a stream in Class XI and eventually, their career path. The session also threw light on various skills required for pursuing a particular career, and how a combination of such skills was essential for success in a field. JK Gupta, chairman, Eklavya School, appreciated the efforts put in by the school authorities. Seema Handa, director and Dimpal Sharma, principal, Eklavya School, said the aim of a career guidance workshop was not only to guide students but also provide suitable career choices and help them become self-aware about their strengths and weaknesses.
