Schools told to have CCTV cameras

Tribune News ServiceJalandhar, November 10To ensure the safety of school-going children, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rajinder Singh has told all managements of schools within the Jalandhar Police Commissionerate to install CCTV cameras on the school premises. He also asked school to ensure that a proper record of every visitor was maintained The DCP also ordered that all details of the employees, including their ID proof numbers and mobile numbers, must be maintained regularly in a register by the school management. He said the CCTVs must be checked regularly so that these were in a proper working condition. He also ordered that the managements should ensure that police verification of every new employee was done in the school before he joined the service and even during the service.

Jalandhar, November 10 To ensure the safety of school-going children, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rajinder Singh has told all managements of schools within the Jalandhar Police Commissionerate to install CCTV cameras on the school premises. In the orders issued today, he ordered that the CCTVs must be installed at all entry gates of the school, besides at all places, where children go on the school campus. He said the CCTVs must be checked regularly so that these were in a proper working condition. He also ordered that the managements should ensure that police verification of every new employee was done in the school before he joined the service and even during the service. The DCP also ordered that all details of the employees, including their ID proof numbers and mobile numbers, must be maintained regularly in a register by the school management.
