Club organises Innovesta

Jalandhar, November 10Innovation Club of NIT Jalandhar organised a symposium ‘Innovesta 2017’ with focus upon innovation and design from November 8 and 9 here. Prof Awasthi shared that Innovesta is an encouraging step towards accomplishing the vision of the Prime Minister’s ‘Digital India’, ‘Make In India’ and ‘Swacch Bharat’. The presentations were evaluated on the basis of problem identification, proposed solution, technical viability, economic viability, social and environmental impact.

Jalandhar, November 10 Innovation Club of NIT Jalandhar organised a symposium ‘Innovesta 2017’ with focus upon innovation and design from November 8 and 9 here. Prof LK Awasthi, Director, NIT, inaugurated the event. As many as 20 teams from various institutes participated in the event. The event was judged by faculty members Dr Arun Khosla and Dr R K Sankaria. Dr L P Singh, the coordinator of the club, expressed the team of the club through Innovesta is providing platform to the juvenile technocrats for transforming their imagination into reality. The presentations were evaluated on the basis of problem identification, proposed solution, technical viability, economic viability, social and environmental impact. Prof Awasthi shared that Innovesta is an encouraging step towards accomplishing the vision of the Prime Minister’s ‘Digital India’, ‘Make In India’ and ‘Swacch Bharat’. “The teams participated with overwhelming and innovative ideas in the field of information technology, environment and automobile sector with focus on social, economic and technological reforms,” he added. Prof Awasthi also inaugurated innovation club’s website www.nij.ac.in/Innovation_Club/ and said this website would act as an ‘idea bank’ in which faculty, staff, students and research scholars can contribute innovative ideas.
