Bolero collides with mini-bus, 1 seriously hurt

In the accident, Gurmukh Singh, Harinder Kaur, wife of Satnam Singh, Satnam Singh, Harpreet Singh, son of Satnam Singh, Bhupinder Kaur, wife of Gurmail Singh, Manjeet Kaur and Satwinder Singh (driver) were injured. When they reached near Bhullewal Rathan village, a mini-bus of a private transport company coming from the opposite direction collided with the Bolero. The Bolero riders were going back to their village Davida Ahirana from Kiratpur Sahib after immersing the ashes of their deceseased relative. The injured were immediately brought to Hoshiarpur Civil Hospital, where Gurmukh Singh was referred to a specialty hospital owing to his serious condition.

The police have started investigating the incident.Phagwara: Sai Manohar (40), caretaker of a religious place Darbar Baba Chooharr near Noormahal, was killed on the spot when the bike he was riding dashed against a tree near Uggi village on Saturday. In another incident, a youth, Gimmi Soni, of Asha Park Colony here died after allegedly taking some poisonous substance at his house on Saturday. OC
