The festival of Eid-ul-Azha (Bakr-eid) is being celebrated with simplicity in the entire state including the valley. People offered Eid prayers in their homes.

Security forces are tightly guarded in many areas of the Valley, including the city of Srinagar.

Please tell that security forces have been alerted to prevent terrorist organizations from doing any action on the occasion of the festival.

At the same time, people of the valley have given a unique message of peace during the Corona period. There is silence in the valley on the occasion of Bakrid. People are considering staying in homes more appropriate to beat Corona.

Due to Corona infection and lockdown people read Eid prayers in homes. In the major mosques, only the committee members offered prayers. After the namaz, the process of offering goats to homes started. People offered prayers and prayed for prosperity in the country including the valley. There is a lot of enthusiasm among children on Bakrid.

Tight security arrangements have been made in the entire state including the valley in view of Eid-ul-Azha and Rakshabandhan.
