During this time an army soldier is reported to have died. The martyred jawan has been identified as Roshan Kumar of 14 Punjab Regiment.

The Indian Army has also responded to the firing of Pakistani army. According to the information received late on Friday, the Pakistani Army violated ceasefire along the Line of Control in Balakot sector and opened fire with mortars targeting Indian Army posts as well as residential areas. 

This firing also started to be responded to by the Indian Army. Meanwhile, a mortar fell near Rohan Kumar, who was posted at the Agrim post in the Pakistani firing in the early hours of Saturday, leaving him seriously injured and martyred on the spot.
