The Indian Army has taught Pakistan a befitting lesson to the frequent ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. At least 10 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the retaliation by the Indian Army in Tattapani region, while some were injured. The army also destroyed many posts in Pakistan.

In fact, on Tuesday at around seven o`clock on the LoC, the Pakistani army opened fire by targeting the army posts as well as the residential areas in violation of the ceasefire along the Line of Control in Krishna Valley, Mankot sector of Poonch district. Also fired mortar. The Indian Army responded to this nefarious act of the Pakistani Army, due to which, after almost three hours, the fire from both sides came to an end.

The shelling also damaged several houses in the Mankot region and injured many cattle. Due to the sudden shelling, the villagers had to take shelter in safe places and save their lives. On the other hand, mortars were fired from the army at the posts of Pakistani army from where the shelling was done. Smoke was seen rising from Pakistani posts.

In July, Pakistan has bombed the LoC 47 times. In July, Pakistan has violated the ceasefire on the LoC in Poonch, Rajouri, Kupwara and Baramulla districts 47 times. Regarding the Pakistani shelling, the villagers say that since Article 370 has been abolished, every day continuous firing incidents are being carried out by the Pakistani Army. This has made our lives difficult.

Conspiracy to fly military vehicles on Srinagar-Baramulla highway failed. A day before the first anniversary of the removal of Article 370, the military foiled a terrorist plot to blow up a convoy of military vehicles on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway. On Tuesday morning, during the patrolling of the Army`s 29 Rashtriya Rifles on the Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway in the Tapar Pattan area, an IED was spotted on the side of the road, which was planted by the terrorists to carry out a major attack. The vigilant soldiers immediately informed the bomb disposal squad, which made it inoperative.
