IED found again on Srinagar-Baramulla highway, terrorist conspiracy foiled

On Saturday, IEDs planted by terrorists were recovered on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway. It was planted under a culvert in Pattan area of ??IED Baramulla district.

On Saturday, IEDs planted by terrorists were recovered on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway. It was planted under a culvert in Pattan area of ??IED Baramulla district. In time, the security forces recovered it and thwarted the terrorists` plot. Even before this, four times IEDs have been recovered in this area on this highway. 

Suspected item was recovered under a culvert in Hanjeeveera area of ??Pattan on the Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway. It was like an IED. An official said that the suspicious object was noticed by the army`s road opening party. He immediately informed the police about it. A bomb disposal squad was called to the spot after stopping traffic from both sides in the area. 

Investigations have found that this suspicious object has been hidden in a sack under the culvert. The bomb squad defused it. After this, traffic was restored on this route. Police said that samples have also been collected from the spot for investigation. 

Be aware that a convoy of military vehicles passes through this highway. It is feared that the terrorists may have planted it to target the convoy. However, the security forces succeeded in thwarting the plot by recovering on time.
