JPDA for starting door to door Covid vaccination

Excelsior CorrespondentJAMMU May 7: Jammu Pharmaceutical Distributors Association (JPDA) has demanded the Government to start door to door Covid vaccination in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. In a handout issued today Rakesh Gupta president of JPDA said there is urgent need to increase the Vaccination Centers for 18-44 age group people and starting door to door vaccination if possible. To handle the increasing number of Covid positive patients he advised to engage retired doctors and para- medical staff and make a Senior Doctor Incharge of every Covid Ward. Heart patients Cancer patients etc to be used at homes. He also stressed for fixation of rate for HRCT Scan alleging that doctors are almost prescribing the same to all the Covid positive patients who are being over charged by the private diagnostic centres.

In a handout issued today Rakesh Gupta president of JPDA said there is urgent need to increase the Vaccination Centers for 18-44 age group people and starting door to door vaccination if possible. He said massive parking of JDA at Jammu bus stand should be used as Drive through Vaccination place as done in other parts of India Gupta further suggested the administration to allow functioning of only Essential Services Government departments so that there are less people on the roads. To handle the increasing number of Covid positive patients he advised to engage retired doctors and para- medical staff and make a Senior Doctor Incharge of every Covid Ward. He also asserted monitoring all Covid wards through CCTV or Drones for effective working. “The traders should be allowed to allow their establishments on rotational basis as many shops and stores have perishable goods too” he said and urged the GST council to extend the date for filing all types of returns and payment of taxes at least by 3 months. He further demanded that the instructions should be issued to the newly appointed Nodal Officer for Online Clearance in a time bound manner for all the Covid related relief material to be received from outside the J&K UT free of cost. Gupta further said that Government should also allow use of Oxygen cylinders for other ailments too e.g. Heart patients Cancer patients etc to be used at homes. He also stressed for fixation of rate for HRCT Scan alleging that doctors are almost prescribing the same to all the Covid positive patients who are being over charged by the private diagnostic centres.
