Antyodaya train service resumes

JAMSHEDPUR: Service of the bi-weekly Tatanagar-Mumbai LTT Antyodaya Express, which received good response from commuters when it was first launched in March 2017, resumed from Sunday. The train was withdrawn in December 2017 due to expansion work at the Tatanagar section. The resumption of the service will ease the rush on the busy Howrah-Mumbai route. But it was restored within six months, he added. "This train (no 22885/22886) evoked good response from passengers as 16 unreserved coaches catered to commuters who enjoyed the long distance travel at low fares," a commercial official of the railways at Tatanagar said.He said with improvisation work at the Tatanagar section, the space wasn't adequate for parking of the train and authorities at the SER zonal headquarters suspended its service.
