JAMSHEDPUR: With Patamda block facing an acute water crisis for four weeks, angry women of the area on Friday protested before the block development-cum-circle officer with empty buckets and earthen pots. Fuming over the administration's failure in ensuring water supply, the women arrived in large numbers to the block headquarters and shouted slogans demanding the issue is resolved.The women complained that hand pumps have run dry in the block. It is natural that people will lose their temper when they get water after waiting in queue for hours," said Sandhya Mahato. "Nearly 100 families are dependent on the lone hand pump in Patamda basti.
