Students seek new date for admission to UG courses in KU

JAMSHEDPUR: Under graduate students, who have failed to get admission at various colleges under Kolhan University KU ), have urged the varsity to announce new dates to facilitate their admissions.The candidates said delayed declaration of the results and discrepancy in the admission portal obstructed their admission to all of the preferred colleges on time. "First, arts results were declared by Jharkhand Academic Council relatively late (June 27) and on the top of it, glitches in the Chancellor's portal hindered timely admission of the candidates," said Aarti Kumari, who failed to get admission at Graduate School College for Women.In a letter addressed to KU's vice-chancellor Shukla Mohanty through Graduate College's principal Satyarupa Srivastava , candidates said some students have not received their mark sheets till date and this has had an impact on their admission.The varsity has argued that online admission through the portal continued till July 16 and if there was any issue relating to the discrepancies in the portal than that matter should have been brought to the knowledge of the authorities on time.
