Strike hits Steel Jamshedpur industries

He added, "Roughly, business transactions worth around Rs 100 crore were affected due to the strike on the first day." JAMSHEDPUR: Around 5,000 heavy commercial vehicles remained off the road in the district on Friday to join the nationwide strike called by the the All India Motor Transport Congress. We ensured that no truck moves in or out of the station to make the strike successful," Akhikesh Singh Yadav, president of the Jamshedpur Transporters' Welfare Association, said.
