2 arrested for transporting beef in Jharkhand

JAMSHEDPUR: Two burqa-clad persons were arrested for allegedly carrying beef in a car on station road under Bagbera police station in Jamshedpur in Jharkhand today, a police official said. "We are interrogating them," he said.The accused were identified as Wasir Ahmed and Jubair Alam. Acting on a tip-off, a police team intercepted the car and seized 75 kg of the " banned meat " stuffed in two sacks, Superintendent of Police (City) Prabhat Kumar said.Kumar said both the accused were wearing the veil.
