Jam@street back in Steel City after 4 months

JAMSHEDPUR: After a pause of four months Jam@Street is back in Jamshedpur. Organised by Tata Steel and Jamshedpur Utilities and Services Company ( Jusco ), with the support and participation of several city-based social organisations, health clubs, trade bodies, the delightful event was held on the main streets of Bistupur on Sunday morning.People from all age groups soaked in energetic spirit of the occasion. The nip in the air added to the jubilance of the street festival. A large number of the crowd, especially the youth, made the most of the three-hour festival as every segment of the event drew youngsters. Beginning with sporting events like roller staking, badminton and adventure games to rock band, street paintings and food lane, the visitors had a gala time.The selfie corner and magic show witnessed footfall of children and adolescent in large number while dandiya dances and street paintings saw young girls in good attendance. Conventional fairs are organised either during daytime or in the evening. Jam@Street is one such event that takes place in the early morning hours," said Bistupur resident Deepak Patel who attended the event with his family.Likewise, Shweta Jha, who attended the event her friends, said, "Besides entertainment the component of informative and educative programmes makes Jam@Street engaging."The district public relations department of East Singhbhum that had put up a stall to spread awareness on Ayushman Bharat health scheme had many visitors enquiring about the process of applying for it.
