Rankini temple gets elevated entry corridor

"The elevated corridor is part of the state government's plan to promote Rankini temple as a prominent tourist spot of the district," East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Amit Kumar said. JAMSHEDPUR: Devotees and tourists visiting the ancient Rankini temple on Hata-Jaduguda state highway can now feel a bit safe from vehicular traffic after an elevated corridor was thrown open in the last week of December.Built at a cost of around Rs 19 crore, the 900-metre-long elevated corridor is aimed at easing traffic movement and protect the queue of devotees outside the temple from risk of accidents. The temple is situated along the highway and visitors had no other option but to stand in a queue, that often spilled on the busy stretch of the road, to enter the temple.
