It has been raining in the city for the last two days. In such a situation, climbing an electric pole without any safety became the cause of death for the electrician.
A repairman, while connecting wire on an electric pole, came under the grip of an electric current and fell down from the pole, and died on spot. The incident is at Kailash Nagar, Govindpur Police station. The dead body has been sent for postmortem. The deceased has been identified as Sumit Singh of 28 years.
According to the information, the electricity in the house of Yamuna Rajak, a resident of Kailash Nagar, was damaged. The mason was working on connecting the electric wire to the pole. During this, he got caught in the current. According to the police, Yamuna Rajak had called one of his old electricians to fix the electricity, but the electrician sent his other accomplice Sumit Singh to fix the electricity.
Police station in-charge Ranjit Singh said that the relatives of the deceased are being traced.
