Once old people turn helpless with mostly having no financial support and their children are up to faith for taking care. Jharkhand has witnessed a shocking incident where a stepson intended to kill his father by throwing him on railway tracks. A 65-year-old man was rescued by the Jharkhand Police after he was found by villagers tied to a railway track with his lips sewed together with a rope. The elderly man accused his stepson of sewing his lips and tying him up to a railway track near Sigsigi`s cabin.

The shocking incident took place at Bhitihara village in Untari Road Block of Palamu district on Wednesday.

Bhola Ram, 65, told police that he had gone to the toilet late Tuesday night when his stepson along with two others caught him and beat him up. He said after thrashing him, the three men stitched his lips with a rope, tied his hands and legs, and took him to a nearby railway track. They then tied him to railway sleepers.

The next morning, when villagers saw a man tied up to the track. They immediately informed the police and the man was rescued. 

It is said that Bhola Ram’s second wife was also behind the incident. Bhola Ram married for the second time in 2010 after his first wife passed away. There was trouble in their marriage and the matter had come up before panchayat six months back.
