MGM 'doctor' held for coercing patients to visit private clinics

Raja, posing as a staff doctor of the MGM, advised her not to seek treatment at the hospital, saying it lacked "expert doctors and adequate medical equipment required for the diagnosis of her ailment". JAMSHEDPUR: Police on Wednesday detained a quack doctor from the MGM Medical College & Hospital on charges of coaxing a patient at the OPD of the government-run healthcare centre to seek diagnosis from a private nursing home.The accused, identified as M Raja , was detained by the Sakchi police following a complaint by the patient, Kesia Devi , a resident of Mango Gurdwara Road.In her complaint, Kesia told police that earlier this week she went to the hospital for the treatment of her waist pain.
