JODHPUR: Chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Wednesday termed Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president a novice in politics.While addressing a public gathering in Pali’s Jaitaran town on Wednesday as a part of the second leg of Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra, Raje said that Pilot has no knowledge about the state and its politics. “Pilot is just a novice in politics. He is a child, who neither has any knowledge of the history of state nor the politics here,” said Raje.She further said that Pilot did not know that how dignified Rajasthan is. “We are trying to re-establish the lost dignity and glorious past of this state which he cannot ever think of,’’ she said. This was for the first time that she has trained her guns on Pilot in any of her public meeting under Gaurav Yatra shifting her target from Gehlot.Raje, who reached Jaitaran from Jodhpur by a helicopter amid heavy rains, first paid obeisance to Jain saint Roopmuni at Pawan Dham and headed straight to address the gathering. Citing the incidents of stone pelting on Gaurav Yatra in Osain and Pipar, Raje began her address with attack on Congress and termed the attack not on the chief minister but on 7.5 crores people of stateShe appealed to the people to give a befitting reply to the Congress for this by bringing back the BJP to power. “Congress is denying her hand in attack on us but everybody knows that who was behind it. They have humiliated the people of state and not me,” Raje said.Attacking Gehlot, Raje said that he never did so but she has taken to the roads to give account of the works done by her government. “He came twice in the assembly but did not speak anything ever. He has always engaged in vote bank politics and weakened the state,” Raje said.According to Congress leaders, Raje’s attack on Pilot is a result of the response to Congress’s Sankalp Yatra, which is being led by Pilot. “The improving chemistry between Pilot and Gehlot and their joint appearance on every dais has also puzzled Raje”, said Ajay Trivedi, divisional spokesperson of Congress from Jodhpur.BJP’s state party affairs in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna on Wednesday lashed out at the Congress, claiming that it was responsible for the recent stone pelting on CM Vasundhara Raje’s Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra in Jodhpur district . “The Congress has panicked after witnessing the response that the chief minister is getting in the yatra and the achievements of the BJP government, which is why it resorted to such unfortunate measures,’’ said Khanna.“Does the CM feel ‘gaurav’ (honour) in raising electricity tariff by 37 to 70 percent, in looting people by handing over power distribution to private companies and causing deaths of nearly 2,500 residents due to dangling wires and burning transformers,” PCC chief Sachin Pilot asked on Wednesday.“People of the state will reply to the personal remarks made on me by the chief minister. She made such remarks about me during the Ajmer Lok Sabha bypolls too and the people replied by voting for Congress. Now, the people will respond to her remarks by giving a big victory to Congress and wiping out BJP in the assembly elections,” said PCC chief Sachin Pilot, in response to Vasundhara Raje calling him a novice to Rajasthan politics.
