JODHPUR: Former chief minister and AICC general secretary Ashok Gehlot too has been seeking divine blessings, just like chief minister Vasundhara Raje , who makes sure to include every known shrine or temple in the itinerary of her Gaurav Yatra.Gehlot reached Jodhpur on Monday, ahead of the Congress Sankalp rally to be held near the Barmer oil refinery site at Pachpadra, on Wednesday. “Those staking claim for Congress tickets in coming elections have been entrusted with the responsibility to bring as much crowd as possible for the rally and they have been putting in their entire might in order to figure in the eyes of the senior leaders,” said a party leader. The Congress leader visited Phalodi, where he paid obeisance to goddess Latiyal Mata and then traveled to Ramdeora near Pokhran to bow at the altar of the local deity, Baba Ramdeo, on Tuesday.According to local Congressmen, Gehlot visited these two religious places and prayed for peace and harmony in the state.Raje too had paid obeisance at both these places on the first day of her Gaurav Yatra in Jodhpur division.
