10 swine flu cases surface in past two days in Rajasthan

In past two days, 10 new cases of swine flu have been reported from different parts of the state. In January 2018, the state had reported 705 cases of swine flu.Health experts claimed that swine flu cases start increasing in numbers in December and January. With three deaths due to swine flu in past 10 days, the death toll has increased to 206 in the state.Last year in December, the state had reported 416 cases of swine flu. It was the time when the number of swine flu cases started increasing in numbers and they continued to rise in January 2018. According to National Centre for Disease Control report, “Till December 2, there were 2,084 persons diagnosed with swine flu in 2018.

JAIPUR: Swine flu is rearing its ugly head again in the state. In past two days, 10 new cases of swine flu have been reported from different parts of the state. Health experts claimed that with a dip in temperature, number of cases might rise further.Five persons were tested positive for swine flu in the state on Thursday alone. Among these five, two were reported from Jodhpur, and one each from Ajmer , Jaipur and Udaipur.However, in the past ten days, the state has reported three deaths and 52 cases. According to National Centre for Disease Control report, “Till December 2, there were 2,084 persons diagnosed with swine flu in 2018. In the same period, 203 persons had died of the disease.”The report issued by the health department on Thursday showed that the swine flu cases have increased to 2,136. With three deaths due to swine flu in past 10 days, the death toll has increased to 206 in the state.Last year in December, the state had reported 416 cases of swine flu. It was the time when the number of swine flu cases started increasing in numbers and they continued to rise in January 2018. In January 2018, the state had reported 705 cases of swine flu.Health experts claimed that swine flu cases start increasing in numbers in December and January. However, they have advised people to take proper precaution to ward off the disease.Since 2011, as many as 1,267 persons have died so far due to swine flu. People who are at risk of getting infected with the disease are pregnant women, infants, old people, people with immune defiant conditions, medical and surgical illness and those on long-term medication.The doctors have advised that one should avoid reuse of tissues, avoid shaking hands and avoid crowded places.
