IAF and Russian forces demonstrate operational prowess

Unit CEO group captain Sumit Garg informed the Russian pilots about the Sukhoi practice.Five MI-17 helicopters have been brought from Phalodi air base for the war exercise. Aviaindra-2018 is the second in the series of bilateral joint exercises between IAF and RFSAF. The exercise is unique wherein the foreign participant does not bring its air assets”. During the exercise, air forces of both countries emphasised on training, increasing pilot and flying talent, countering terrorism and increasing coordination.Defence Spokesman Lt Col Sambit Ghosh said, “Ex-Aviaindra, a service specific exercise between the Indian Air Force and the Russian Federation Aerospace Force (RFSAF), has been planned at Air Force Station, Jodhpur, from December 10-21, 2018. The exercise is planned in two phases.
