Officers can’t join new offices after MCC is enforced: CEO

Those who have joined offices before the enforcement of model code of conduct (MCC) today, will be considered. "Those who have not joined their offices as yet, can’t join any more. We will follow these directions," said Kumar during a press briefing at the secretariat on Sunday.Kumar further said only those transfers implemented before the MCC is enforced , will be considered valid. JAIPUR: Even as there was a rush of transfers of the RAS and IAS officers in Rajasthan recently, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Rajasthan Anand Kumar on Sunday announced that only those transfers implemented before the enforcement of model code of conduct (MCC) would be considered valid and officers who have not joined their offices till Sunday, cannot join any more."Those who have not joined their offices as yet, can’t join any more. Those who have joined offices before the enforcement of model code of conduct (MCC) today, will be considered. This is clear direction of the Commission. We will follow these directions," said Kumar during a press briefing at the secretariat on Sunday.Kumar further said only those transfers implemented before the MCC is enforced , will be considered valid. "At the time of emergency, transfers can be done with the permission of the Commission," he added.Even on Sunday, Om Prakash Bunkar (RAS), secretary, Jodhpur Development Authority (JDA), has been given additional charge as deputy commissioner (administration) commercial tax department, Jodhpur.
