JODHPUR: Rajasthan High Court on Monday issued notices to cine stars Saif Ali Khan , Neelam, Sonali Bendre and Tabu on an appeal filed by the state government against their acquittal in the infamous blackbuck poaching case.Bollywood actor Salman Khan was convicted and sentenced to five-year imprisonment in the same case in April last year. The upper court has been hearing the defence arguments against the conviction. The high court has issued notice to a fifth co-accused Dushynat Singh, a local who too was acquitted by the trial court last year.“The state government challenged the acquittal of all the five co-accused before the high court, which has allowed the application and issued notices to all of them, seeking replies in eight weeks,” said public prosecutor Mahipal Bishnoi.The single bench of Justice Manoj Garg accepted the government appeal after the prosecution submitted its reply on the delay in filing it.“An objection was taken by the high court on filing the appeal 53 days after the acquittal.
