The division bench headed by justice Sandeep Mehta has given these directions after a report on the Nari Niketan of Jodhpur was produced before the court by the amicus curies. The matter has been listed for hearing on March 25. JODHPUR: High court has given direction for the inspection of all the Nari Niketans (shelters for women) of the state and to submit a report to the court in 10 days.The court has given direction to the member secretary of the state legal service authority to conduct these inspections and submit a detailed report in the court. During the hearing of a habeas corpus petition, when the petitioner Sangeeta had offered to stay with an acquaintance instead of the Nari Niketan, citing the conditions there being unfavourable to live for a woman, the court had appointed two amicus curies and directed them to inspect and submit a report on the Nari Niketan of Jodhpur.The court said that based on the facts obtained after the submission of the reports from all the Nari Niketans of the state, necessary directions will be issued for the improvement of the management and other conditions of the Nari Niketans.
