Head constable shot dead inside police outpost by SI in Fatehpur

KANPUR: An SI (sub-inspector) allegedly shot dead a head-constable after an altercation on late Saturday night at their Police outpost under the limits of Kishanpur police station in Fatehpur district.Superintendent of police Rahul Raj said SI and Vijayipur police outpost incharge Lakshmikant Singh Sengar allegedly fired his service revolver at his junior colleague Durgesh Kumar Tiwari. "Head-constable Tiwari was rushed to the Khaga Community Health Centre (CHC) from where he was later referred to district hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival," SP said further and added, "Police has arrested Sengar, seized his service revolver and are trying to find out what triggered the altercation."
