KANPUR: A 20-year-old youth's genitals were chopped off when he was resisting local goons who used to stalk and harass school going girls at Chiraney village in Kanpur Dehat.The victim identified as Chandan is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.Police said the victim had revealed names of the attackers and raids were under way to make their arrest possible. "They have been identified as Rishi and Jeetu of the same area and they are on run," said the police.The victim's family told the police that Chandan had gone to relieve himself by the roadside in the village late Saturday night when he was overpowered by Rishi and Jeetu and 'bobbitised' using a sharp edged weapon. Chandan had warned Rishi and Jeetu, who used to stalk and harass schoolgoing girls. Bleeding profusely, Chandan was rushed to hospital.His family, including father Moolchandra, alleged that Chandan had to pay price for daring to check the local goons who had tried to outrage the modesty of girls on several occasions.A couple of days back, Chandan had claimed to see schoolgoing girls chased by Rishi and Jeetu. When the girls tried to wriggle out, the two had pushed them. Chandan oppose their indecent act and had helped the girls reach home. He even had warned Rishi and Jeetu who had left with threats to him, which they executed on Saturday.
