"The TTE stated that the woman passenger had asked him to give her a confirmed seat.
When he returned to the seat, the woman mistook him to be a molester and raised an alarm.
Some passengers also tweeted to the rail minister," said GRP.At around 3.30 am when the train arrived at Kanpur Central, TTE was handed over to GRP.
"A case has been registered under relevant sections of IPC and the TTE is being questioned,” said GRP inspector Ram Mohan Rai.
The other passengers rushed to her rescue and after thrashing the TTE, alerted the GRP control room.
