Kanpur: 4 students suffer electric shock while hoisitng tricolour

"We were preparing for flag hoisting ceremony, when we heard cries of our friends and rushed out to see what had happened. KANPUR: Four minor students of a government school suffered burn injuries due to electric shock while trying to hoist the national flag in Jaitapur village under the limits of Mangalpur police station in Kanpur Dehat district on Wednesday.The students of Poorva Madhyamik Vidhyalaya at Jaitapur village suffered the electric shock when they came in contact with an iron pole with the Tricolour fitted to it in which electric current was flowing.The students, Dhirendra, Dushyant, Rishabh and Lokendra, were holding the iron pole when they received electric shock.

For a few seconds, we did not know what to do. Then, we realised that our hands were burnt."
