UP: Train tragedy averted as driver applies emergency brakes in Unnao

KANPUR: Passengers of Mumbai-bound Pushpak Express had a narrow escape when the train pilot applied emergency brakes after spotting a motorcycle lying close to the railway track near Chhamak nali bridge in Gangaghat police area of Unnao district on late Sunday evening.Gangaghat police investigating the incident are trying to ascertain the whereabouts of the owner of the red-colour TVS Sports motorcycle being abandoned near the railway track on Lucknow-Kanpur route.Station House Officer Gangaghat Kotwali Dinesh Mishra said, "They received information about the red colour TVS Sport motorcycle being abandoned close to the railway track near Chhammak nali in Gangaghat area of the district on late Sunday evening from railway officials. The police immediately rushed to the spot and launched an investigation in this regard.
