Video of dancing cops goes viral, probe ordered

Immediately after the video went viral on Tuesday, Auraiya SP Triveni Singh directed his juniors to identify the personnel seen dancing to raunchy Bhojpuri numbers while on duty.“We have taken note in connection with the video wherein UP 100 policemen were seen dancing. It is a centrally managed system based in Lucknow to facilitate quick response in emergency situations such as road accidents or any crime-related incidents. The circle officer (City) is conducting probe in this regard. A few locals residents are seen clapping and laughing. After identification, action will be taken against the personnel involved,” said Singh.UP 100 is the official name of Uttar Pradesh Police Emergency Management System, which was launched by former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on November 20, 2016. It is a centrally managed system based in Lucknow to facilitate quick response in emergency situations such as road accidents or any crime-related incidents.
