LUCKNOW: The father-inlaw of IPS Surendra Das blamed his brother Narendra, mother Indu and Narendra’s wife Neha for his suicide and claimed that he took the extreme step due to the mental tension given by his family.Das’s father-in-law Dr Ravendra further said that his daughter Raveena has call recordings of the mental torture meted out to Surendra by his family members.Das had consumed poison on September 5 and had succumbed in a private hospital of Kanpur on September 9.Narendra had told reporters in Lucknow that his brother’s marital life was disturbed and that he wanted divorce. “Raveena used to instigate my brother against us, as a result he severed his ties with the family and started living with her in Kanpur,” Narendra had alleged then. He also told media that Raveena used to fight with Surendra when he used to call us or insisted on coming to meet us in Lucknow. Ravendra told TOI over phone that all accusations made by Narendra that my daughter Raveena drove Surendra to commit suicide are false and misleading.On the contrary, he claimed that Narendra, Indu and Neha used to harass Surendra regularly for money. He also produced an audio in which Surendra tells his sister that he was fed up of because of mental torture by his mother, brother and sister-in-law and would give up his life.
