KANPUR: Taking potshots at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for allotting a sprawling bungalow to Shivpal Yadav while his party is yet to be allotted an office, UP minister Om Prakash Rajbhar said that the Yogi Adityanath-led state government has suddenly turned 'kind' to the former Samajwadi Party leader, who seems to be working for the saffron regime.Talking to mediapersons in Unnao on Wednesday, Rajbhar said, "When BJP had come to power it had taken away Shivpal Yadav's Z Plus security. However, after he severed ties with SP and formed a new outfit, BJP has suddenly turned kind towards him. Not only has he been given back Z Plus security, but he has also been allotted a bungalow, which was earlier occupied by Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati.""It seems that Shivpal has now started working for BJP. But he will come to know when elections draw closer that it is not easy to get votes during polls," said the president of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party."I have been a minister in the Yogi government for the last 16 months and have been asking the government for land for my party's office. However, I have been denied the land but ever since Shivpal formed the Samajwadi Secular Morcha , the government is too kind on him," the MLA added.Rajbhar said that by changing the name of Allahabad to Prayagraj, the state government won't be able to do anything."By changing the name, do you expect damaged roads to be repaired or unemployed youths to get jobs or poor to get ration cards. Nothing of this kind will happen. Whenever a government is not able to do anything it changes the name of a city ," he added.The UP minister said that the BJP thinks about the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya only when elections are drawing close.
