KANPUR: Terming government schemes launched for the benefit of the people as 'election weapon', chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday asked members of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) to upload the interviews of beneficiaries of these schemes on social media and make it viral to ensure the party's victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.Yogi, who was the chief guest at BJYM state committee meet in the city, said, "The government schemes launched for the people are 'election weapon'. Interview the people, question them about their experiences and what impact such schemes have made on their lives, and post the video on social media to defeat the opposition. Tell people of this nation about BJP's achievements. If you all manage to do this, it will not only be a befitting reply to those spreading lies against the party, but none could even stop the party (BJP) from wrestling throne for the second consecutive term in upcoming Lok Sabha elections.""The state is on the path of growth and development. Earlier, when we used to take air-route, we used to come across dark patches below, which only indicated that we were flying above Uttar Pradesh . Similarly, when we used to feel jerk and experienced bumpy ride , we used to say it seems that we are travelling on UP roads, but no more now as situation is changing drastically and state is growing by leaps and bounds," he added.Stating that there are about 1.6 crore polling booths in the state, he asked those present to start building booth committees again. "There should be at least 20 members in each booth. If BJYM along with BJP simultaneously work on this, none would be able to defeat BJP in 2019 Lok Sabha elections," he added.The CM also asked the BJYM members that they should not hesitate otherwise they wont be able to grow.
