A grand theatre experience for Kanpurites

What made the entire play very different from the regular ones was its larger than life appeal. We also spotted Shailendra, Somya, Mukta, Ravindra, Shreya, Vandita and Parisha during the staging of Janata Raja. Kanpurites recently witnessed a larger than life experience of theatre. With a four-storey stage, over 250 artists, elephants and horses, the play 'Janata Raja', staged at an open ground in Kanpur turned out to be a must-watch for the city folk. The three-hour play which was staged from October 20 to 25 in Kanpur, was graced by Dinesh Sharma , deputy chief minister Uttar Pradesh Satyadev Pachauri , minister of Khadi, textile, small and medium enterprises and export promotion and Kalraj Mishra , Member of Parliament.The audience was overwhelmed with such a show and each one was heard saying 'oh' and 'waah' after each scene enacted.A scene from the play (BCCL/ AS Rathor)"For the first time in my life I am watching such a grand play. What made the entire play very different from the regular ones was its larger than life appeal.
