KANPUR: BJP national president Amit Shah on Wednesday belted out a daily roster for the top office in the country, saying there will be a new prime minister every day of the week as he scoffed at regional party chiefs’ proposed mahagathbandhan In a clear taunt at the mahagathbandhan for not disclosing their PM candidate, Shah said that NDA’s man for the top job was unanimous.“If this so called mahagathbandhan’ takes shape, the PM office will look something like this. Mayawati will be PM on Monday, Akhilesh on Tuesday, Mamata didi on Wednesday, Sharad Pawar on Thursday, Deve Gowda on Friday, Stalin (MK) on Saturday,” he said. “This drama will last for six days and Sundays will be chutti (holiday),” he added, while speaking to loud cheers among the captive crowd. Shah made these remarks while addressing a BJP booth presidents’ convention at Nirala Nagar in Kanpur, his first in Uttar Pradesh after Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) came together in their quest to wrest power from the saffron party. The address was also the first in a series of such BJP meetings across India’s most political crucial state with 80 Lok Sabha seats.“We are clear about our choice for PM. NDA’s candidate is Narendra Modiji. But what about others? The opposition should spell out who its prime ministerial candidate. Why are they hesitating? This is because they know a fight will start as they are not concerned about India’s vikas,” he asked, while saying that the country wants a “mazboot (solid) government.“The two boys got together in 2017 (Akhilesh and Rahul) to damage Uttar Pradesh and now another two have got together to cobble up alliance to help each other in corruption,” he said.Earlier, UP deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and UP BJP chief Mahendranath Pandey hailed Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath as a super-hit pair for UP and India.
