KANPUR: Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday termed announcement of cash dole for small and marginal farmers in the interim Budget as a move by the BJP-led NDA government to deceive the community by returning their own money to them”.“BJP first pocketed money by introducing 45 kg bag of urea in place of existing 50 kg. Now, it’s the same money that BJP is returning to the farmers. By doing this, BJP is deceiving the farmers of the country,” he alleged while addressing reporters in Kannauj on Saturday.He added, “When the time comes, farmers will give a reply.” He also said that BJP has been very good at packaging its promises and overstating its achievements.“First, this government came to power by fooling the masses with a false promise of depositing Rs 15 lakh in everyone’s account. And after taking over the reins, they forgot all such promises,” he said. He also blamed the BJP government for the “highest unemployment rate” and said had the BJP worked honestly, it could have provided employment to youths. “Instead, they (BJP) gave mobile phones to the youths and made them dream even during daytime. However, they couldn’t show them the right path and help them so that their dreams may come true,” he said.“The youth will avenge the false promises and joblessness in the upcoming general elections,” Yadav said and added, “When voted to power, SP will help them make their dreams come true.” Reacting to construction of Ganga Expressway, Yadav said: “It’s a project of BSP, the CM has just cleaned the dust and launched it... there’s nothing new in it.”
