Those who insulted Gandhi should be punished: Uma Bharti

I have no idea how the woman came close to me in that photo. I came to know that I am in a photograph with one of the culprits of the act. Still, there are many people in our country who are in the grip of a foreign thought processes. It is the duty of Modiji to make such people free of such mindset. All those involved in this incident should be given the severest punishment.

JHANSI: BJP leader and Jhansi MP Uma Bharti on Sunday watched the film ‘Manikarnika’ with party workers in a local theatre.Bharti said she was feeling energetic after watching the film on the gallant Rani of Jhansi Lakshmi Bai on her own land.“In 1857, her high spirits for the struggle of independence brought fruitful results in 1947. Still, there are many people in our country who are in the grip of a foreign thought processes. It is the duty of Modiji to make such people free of such mindset. For this, on behalf of the people of Jhansi, I send to him good wishes so that he becomes the Prime Minister of this country again and again.”Condemning the recent incident in which an outfit was seen shooting the effigy of Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary, she said, “This is the worst thing that could have happened. All those involved in this incident should be given the severest punishment. I came to know that I am in a photograph with one of the culprits of the act. I feel shameful and I will repent it for life. I have no idea how the woman came close to me in that photo. I do not know her at all.”
