KANPUR: Mortal remains of Corporal Deepak Pandey, who was among the six killed in IAF chopper Mi-17 crash in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday morning, arrived at his residence at Mangla Vihar in Chakeri area late on Thursday evening. The body would be cremated on Friday.UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath has announced financial aid for the three Air Force personnel who died in the helicopter crash in Kashmir's Badgam on Wednesday."The families of each of the deceased will be given Rs 25 lakh. A member of each of the families will be given a job in the government while a road in their districts will be named after them," said an official.The mortal remains of the IAF personnel reached Deepak's home where residents of the locality had gathered in a large number. The body was escorted to the home by a group of passionate youths carrying tricolour flag and raising slogans in praise of Deepak.As the personnel's body reached his home, his family members broke into tears. The relatives of the deceased personnel told reporters that cremation would be performed on Friday as the body arrived very late.Earlier, in the day, local MP Murli Manohar Joshi, BJP MLA from Kidwai Nagar Mahesh Trivedi and several leaders of other political parties also reached the IAF personnel's house and met Deepak's father Ram Prakash Pandey.Ram Prakash Pandey said, "Deepak was my only child and he had joined IAF five years ago. He was posted at Srinagar air base. At around 1 pm on Wednesday, I received a phone call from Srinagar Air Base wherein I was informed about the demise of my son following crash of Mi-17 chopper in Garend Kalan village of Budgam in Jammu and Kashmir."
